    4 young soldiers die in J’salem truck-ramming

    This truck crashed into a group of soldiers in eastern Jerusalem yesterday evening, killing four and injuring at least 15, some critically, in what the Prime Minister said was an ISIS-inspired attack. CNN said that this would make it the first successful attack by ISIS in Israel. The quick actions of Israel’s medical emergency service, MDA, including getting mobile ICU units to the scene, was reported to have saved numerous lives. SEE VIDEO

    Fifteen of the 39 murdered victims in a New Year’s Eve terror attack on an Istanbul nightclub were foreigners. One, a 19-year-old Israeli woman was among them. Another Israeli, who was with her, sustained two gunshot wounds and remains in “good condition” following surgery, according to her father. Both girls were from the Arab-Israeli town of Tira in central Israel.

J-Post refers to Goldstein as “The Good Shabbos Rabbi”. How influential does this make Rabbi Goldstein in the eyes of what is often called the most international of Israeli newspapers? Very. He came in 21st, ahead of the likes of Natan Sharansky (24th) and President Reuven Rivlin (29th).

Israeli police say eight were injured, two critically, as the terrorist opened fire at three sites. A police officer and a bystander are fighting for their lives in Jerusalem hospitals this morning, The attack took place near the National Police Headquarters on the capital’s Ammunition Hill.
