    “Eye for an eye” threat to SA Jews on Gaza

    A threat of physical violence – an “eye for an eye” - against Jewish South Africans for being “Zionist supporters” made by the Western Cape secretary of the largest trade union federation Cosatu, has prompted SA Jewish leaders to lay criminal and civil charges against him for hate speech and incitement to violence. Charges of incitement against Tony Ehrenreich are being lodged with the police and a formal complaint to the SA Human Rights Commission will be instituted.

    JNF donates bomb shelters

    SA friends of JNF have sent money to Israel for the building of two bomb shelters in the south of the country. Jewry world-wide “has made a big effort to shelter the people of the south (of Israel) and supply more shelters where ever needed,” said Amber Cummins (pictured), the administrative director of the Jewish National Fund of South Africa (JNF-SA).

    “Retract or Debate me!” So says the Chief Rabbi to ANC Dep-Sec General Jessie Duarte after she issued a statement on the atrocities of Nazi Germany & asked “the people of Israel (if) the term ‘lest we forget’ (has) lost it meaning.” The ANC “condemns in the strongest terms, the barbaric attacks on the defenceless Palestinian people of Gaza.” The Chief Rabbi was in Jerusalem,where he wrote, “where I have witnessed the situation first hand.” He is very, very angry.
