Bibi unveils Betar’s 90th anniversary Stamp

It was Ze’ev Jabotinsky who had “brought the realisation that we must sustain our own defence force, both the military and political level. I believe the commemoration of the Jabotinsky movement using this stamp, has great symbolism and Betar movement is important because of its national values,” said the PM. The mere fact that Bibi was present, said World Betar CEO Nerya Meir, “reinforces its historical significance.”

At a ceremony at which he unveiled Israel’s latest postage stamp, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that "the stamp reflects the tremendous contribution of the Jabotinsky movement and Jabotinsky himself to the state of Israel.”

It was this core principle, said Bibi, “along with HaShomer movement and other movements have formed military force to realise the vision of Herzl's Jewish army alongside the Jewish state.”

Minister Arden said that "Betar represents national values, and those values that keep us as Jewish people here in Israel. I think it's time to finally issue the Betar movement Stamp, through which many teens will be able to be educate for those values."

The CEO of the World Betar Zionist Movement, Adv Nerya Meir, said "the State of Israel's decision to issue a stamp about Betar is the repair of historic injustice and indicates the strength of the society and the country today.”

The mere fact that the Israeli Prime Minister was present at the event, said Meir, “reinforces its historical significance. Betar is working to build a future for youth around the world - with an emphasis on Israel programs - and building and empowering youth for the future – developing Zionist youth and young adult's leadership that loves Israel, the people and the land from a revisionist approach.

“Under the banner of Hadar and for the Betar members who are being educated on the Iron Wall (that was written exactly 90 years ago) we would like to strengthen you, Mr Prime Minister, for the tremendous effort in the diplomatic front to provide an iron wall against the threats facing Israel."
