    President Reuven Rivlin discovers & returns rare book borrowed by former President Shazar! The nearly 200-year-old book has been returned to the National Library of Israel. Pic shows Library chair Blumberg thrilled at getting the book back from Rivlin, “We thank President Rivlin for returning this important treasure to its rightful home. This historical masterpiece, entitled ‘Migdal Oz’ (Tower of Strength), published by Rabbi Ya'akov Emden (aka The Ya'avetz) in 1836, will be preserved at the National Library for generations to come.”

Vivian Wineman, president of the British Board of Deputies, said: “This is a wonderful piece of news that shows that attempts by the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions movement to discredit Israel are failing. We are all better off - particularly Israelis and Palestinians - when there is strong trade between the UK and Israel, because it leads to tremendous economic growth, innovation and, most crucially, more jobs for all.”

    Recognising the need to foster a stronger culture of entrepreneurship in South Africa, Investec and the South Africa-Israel Forum (SAIF) partnered to take a first-ever delegation of 20 young entrepreneurs to Israel last month. Pictured at left are participants Siphiwe Zikalala and Akash Maharaj with Morris Kahn, 84, made aliyah from Benoni in 1956 & went on to found Aurec which produced the Yellow Pages & paved the way for Israeli software giant Amdocs, which now has more than 20,000 employees worldwide and customers in over 50 countries.
