    Israel is neither occupier nor settler. Israel is our home and Jerusalem is the eternal capital of our sovereign state. Jewish homes in Jewish homeland never been one of the many threats in M/E. It is time for Palestinians to realise that all children of Abraham - Jews, Christians and Muslims alike - are not doomed to live together in war, but rather destined to live together in peace.     In the less than two weeks since the Congress of SA Students (COSAS) placed the head of a pig in what they thought was the kosher fridge of Woolworths in Sea Point (it turned out to be the halaal section), the student organisation have not been able to lay the matter to rest. "The Holocaust must remain alive in our memories so that it may never be repeated, was the message from the Greek Consul.

    BREAKLING NEWS: At least 1 killed & 13 wounded in terror attack on Wednesday after commercial vehicle drove into a crowd of people near entrance to the capital. Two casualties reported to be in critical condition & one serious. The picture, supplied by MDA, shows the scene at 2pm this afternoon. A car drove into a light rail station and onto the sidewalk in what is being called a terror attack. Hamas this afternoon took responsibility and named the terrorist as 48-year-old Ibrahim al-Akary. Mitzvah Day activities are planned in various cities in 20 countries including the UK, US, Australia, Germany, Turkey, Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Israel, Slovakia and Ukraine.

    In South Africa, the cynical placing of pigs’ heads in kosher shelves in Woolworths by anti-Israel groups makes us wonder what visionary reconciler Nelson Mandela would have said. Turning to Israel, the despair of Jews and Palestinians about ever reaching peace makes one think of Yitzhak Rabin, who believed the two peoples could find a way to live peacefully as neighbours and who was assassinated 19 years ago. People with diverse political agendas claim both as their inspiration.

The audience was deeply inspired and often in tears as Christian speakers movingly told how their love for Israel and the Jewish people motivated them to serve through various pro-Israel international Christian organisations.
