Tit-for-tat attacks

JTA reports that Wednesday’s attack by the Lebanese terrorist group included shelling of Israeli army positions in Israel’s North, according to Israeli reports.

In response, the Israel Defence Forces hit southern Lebanon with artillery strikes, killing a Spanish soldier serving in UNIFIL, the United Nations peacekeeping force.

The Hezbollah attack came hours after the IDF struck a Syrian artillery post controlled by Syrian President Bashar Assad, scoring direct hits. These Israeli strikes had been in response to two rockets coming from Syrian territory controlled that hit the Golan Heights on Tuesday.

“Last night’s [IDF strike] on Syrian territory against targets belonging to the Assad regime sends a clear message: that we will not tolerate any rocket fire into Israel or any infringement of our sovereignty, and that we will respond [to such attacks] forcefully and decisively,” Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon said Tuesday, according to the Times of Israel.

“The Assad regime is responsible for the fire into Israel, and we will exact a heavy price from any government or organization that violates our borders,” he said.

On Wednesday Israeli media reports said the IDF was searching for tunnels under its northern border dug by Hezbollah. Destroying a network of tunnels under the Israeli border with Gaza was one of the Israeli military’s main objectives last year in its war with Hamas.

These tunnels must be located and destroyed !
It must be very traumatic for the Israeli medics working in these areas .
Ghajar on Israel's border with Lebanon is obviously an area to be avoided.
To see the burning vehicles must be unpleasant .
Hezbollah is still the villain !

Not enough to blow up Syrian positions. Only "forceful and disproportionate" force must be used. Lieberman has said this on many occasions and IS and Hezbollah and Hamas understand only one thing.{Sorry, Nat, but we have to censor this hate-speech part  -ED}  Avi Lieberman is the guy to do it.
