    Jews most educated – but not in SA: new Pew study

    Jews are the most educated religious group worldwide but SA Jewry has the lowest education levels, says a new Pew Centre study published this week. The study also notes that over three generations, Jewish woman have surpassed their male counterparts in educational levels. Jews worldwide have an average of over 13 years of schooling, followed by Christians who average nine. Hindus and Muslims are the least-educated, at about 5.5 years of formal schooling each, say the prestigious researchers. See graphs, links and more stories…
