They go to the base synagogue for a few minutes of quiet meditation and prayer, and hours later repeat this ritual to give a prayer of thanks for their safe return.

    In what one senior opposition MP calls a “pre-planned stealth operation” by the ANC (as a political party) and their anti-Israel lobbyist cohorts, aimed at forcing the ANC Executive’s (the Cabinet) hand to break ties with Israel, a specially-convened meeting was to have taken place at the Parliamentary precinct on Wednesday, mini-budget day, the day after Succot ended. One of the many friends of Israel got wind of it and the matter was hastily dealt with and the meeting never took place.
