    Thousands of people in the city of Lincoln lined the streets on Monday to cheer their heroes - the Lincoln City football team, nicknamed the Imps, who finished top of the table of the National League. They sealed the title when they beat Macclesfield 2-1 at their home ground of Sincil Bank and confirmed their return to the Football League after six years away.

    Helen Lieberman was “overwhelmed” when she was informed of her latest and possibly most prestigious award as Officier de la Légion d’Honneur (National Order of the Legion of Honour) “in recognition of her lifelong commitment to the eradication of poverty, injustice and human misery”. The honour is the highest that France can bestow on a foreign citizen.

    Community stalwart Lisa Frank died in Sydney on April 12 at the age of 101, after a life of service. In 2000 Lisa (then 85) emigrated to Australia to be with her daughter, Dorit Krawitz, who lives in Sydney. Lisa had lost her husband many years ago.

Rabbi Warren Goldstein was at the forefront of the #ZumaMustFall march in Pretoria, both on the ground and in a rabble-rousing short interlude on the stage, SEE VIDEO, outside the Union Buildings to the delight of protesters of all persuasions. This follows almost a year to the day after Goldstein had been one of the first senior leaders in SA to tell the ANC that President Zuma had “lost the moral legitimacy to govern this country.” SEE NEW VIDEO AND PICS, and themed his Pesach message on the topic.
