    A never-before-seen by the public Holocaust documentary made by Alfred Hitchcock has been unearthed. He made it after being traumatised by the images recorded by the British Army Film Unit at the Nazi concentration camps of Dachau and Mauthausen.     Rambunctious Anat Hoffman got laryngitis on the night she had to deliver a big speech - so a colleague had to do so for her. The executive director of the Progressive IRAC, was honoured by the US-based Women of Reform Judaism with their annual Jane Evans Pursuit of Justice Award. “Unfortunately,” Anat told SA Jewish Report Online, “I came down with laryngitis the day I was receiving the award.”

The first time was on a state visit to Canada in 1998, the second when Madiba became an honorary Canadian citizen in 2001. What Cotler remembers most: “His humility!”

    US-based Englishman Michael Grabiner, chair of the World Union for Progressive Judaism (pictured) who was in SA for the SAUPJ’s 80th Anniversary last year, was quick off the mark and first in with condolences to Madiba at midnight from the US. “the two million members of the World Union for Progressive Judaism joins with our South African members to express our sorrow at his passing,” said the statement.

It seems that the harder the Green Party tried, all that this seemed to do was to add a second foot - to her own – in May’s mouth and fuel further national media hysteria in a country which is, after all, one of Israel’s closest allies in the world.
