Community removes hostage posters, prays for remainders

For two long years, Johannesburg’s streets carried posters with the faces of Israeli hostages who were being held in Gaza, a reminder of our pain, hope, and unity.

Last Friday, 24 October, the community, led by the Jewish National Fund South Africa, The Base, and KosherWorld, gathered in Glenhazel to take down the posters of those who have been returned to Israel. They welcomed home the 20 who returned alive; honoured the memory of those who returned wrapped in our flag; and prayed for the return of those who remain in Gaza.

Am Yisrael never forgets. We won’t stop until the last hostage is home.
