    Jul 18, 2014 4 Comments
On Wednesday kids from Gan Yavne enjoyed some respite from sirens & booms, reports Rolene, “by spending time in Modiin's municipal pool. The city of Modiin is opening its arms to our Iron Dome soldiers as well, feeding them and doing their laundry as they cannot leave their towers.” As Roro says, Israelis are remarkably resilient, warm and generous … one thing is for sure, this plucky little country is the very example of grace under pressure.

Roro sent the following letter to all SA media. “Wonder if anyone will print...?” she asks. “I humbly apologise to you and your readers and to the world for our leaders defending our right to live. Here in Israel, we consider living a basic human right. The indignation of journalists, commentators and your readership has prompted them to spew forth some of the most vile invective we have seen other than that of Der Sturmer circa 1940’s and the letters and op-eds posted in your publication have educated me in a new level of hatred.”

The defeat of the ‘CT Declaration’ “is huge,” says Israel protagonist Cheryllyn Dudley of the ACDP. “It’s been a great victory for everyone who has been working for common sense to prevail.” The Cape Town Declaration will not be tabled before this or any other Parliament.
