    MDA return to Nepal for more babies

    After yesterday's second Quake in Nepal, MDA Israel has just advised JR that that they are going back to fetch more babies. A delegation is being sent to Nepal on Wednesday afternoon to retrieve a new lot of babies which are currently being kept in a heated van outside of any buildings due to the fear of their collapse. The international Lego robotics competition required creating robots out of Lego, programmed and fine-tuned to mathematical equations. These imaginative building blocks, marketed originally as toys for the very young, have come a long way.     Terror attack in Jerusalem Monday morning

    NEWS JUST IN - A few minutes ago the MDA Jerusalem Region was informed of an act of terror at the French Hill Junction in Jerusalem. A stabbing was attempted on a train security officer. From the latest MDA information, it seems that the stabbing attempt has failed, but the terrorist was shot in his legs and is presently being treated by MDA a mobile intensive care unit (MICU) team at the site.     More than 20 mothers from Cape Town & Johannesburg are among the Jewish Women's Renaissance Programme’s largest delegation yet to visit Israel. Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs recently threw its weight behind the US-based group. JWRP “is a kind of ‘Birthright for Mothers’,” Jeremy Ruden, a spokesman for the ministry, told Jewish Report Online today. Founded in the US in 2008, JWRP started taking Jewish mothers from around the world to Israel in 2009. Founding director Lori Palatnik has spoken in SA.

    “Emergency response team already convened,” expat Solly Kaplinski, previously head of Herzlia Schools in Cape Town & now executive director of Overseas Joint Ventures of the JDC based in Jerusalem, told SAJR Online today.
