DA policy ME remains a two-state solution

  • Bloom
I can assure Dr Bryna Lewis (of PE) concerning a Sowetan report about DA Leader Mmusi Maimane's (critical) remarks about Israel at my book launch (last week Wednesday) that it was an appalling misreport.

Maimane was asked a question on this matter among other things, and the general response to his reply was positive, as captured by the Jewish Report article on the meeting.

Charisse Zeifert responded to the Sowetan on behalf of the SA Jewish Board of Deputies, to the effect that nobody was "stunned" by his approach as the two-state solution is a commonly accepted position.

The person who asked the question later posted a picture of herself with Maimane on her Facebook page, so this is all a storm in a teacup. The DA position on this issue has not changed at all.
