Checkmate for KD chess whizzes

The learners at King David Linksfield Junior Primary are getting better and better at chess.

The school’s Junior B chess team came second in the 2017 league. The players attended the official prize-giving on Monday night at Grayston Preparatory School.

 This is a game in which mental clarity and dexterity is required for solving problems. It teaches the children to analyse consequences and formulate future tactic, as well as develop their memory skills. It also helps in improving concentration and academic performance in the children.
