CSO Community Update – 28 February 2026
Dear community,
Over the past 12 hours, Israel and the US launched Operation Roar of the Lion (Great Fury), a preventative attack which included targeted strikes on various Iranian infrastructure and leaders. As a result, Iran has launched a response attack on Israel.
At present, we have no specific information suggesting an increased threat to our community. The CSO has adjusted our threat level responsibly, and in line with unfolding events and our threat matrix. We have increased our security presence in order to ensure our community is as safe as possible. We will continue to closely monitor the local environment and international events and adjust the security level as appropriate.
We encourage all community members to be extra vigilant and attentive in the coming days.
We advise all community members to call in anything suspicious or out of place immediately.
We urge you to follow these basic security practices, which are even more important over the coming days, including Purim:
- Be aware of your surroundings, particularly in and around communal spaces, shuls, and public events. If you do not recognise someone or see something out of place, contact the CSO emergency number immediately.
- Report anything suspicious. If you see something unusual or out of place, contact the CSO emergency number immediately.
- Avoid sharing details of communal events.
- Follow the guidance of trained security personnel when entering or exiting communal buildings and generally.
This is not a time for fear, but for calm and focused vigilance. Security is a communal collaborative effort.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to our collective safety.
