A US reader who enjoys watching Formula One races sent this howler to us to share with fellow users just prior to Pesach. Silly us, we nearly let this gem slip through the cracks

“I was watching the Formula 1 GP qualifying for Monaco today and couldn’t hold back a smile,” said the reader in an e-mail.

RIGHT: User took this pic from her TV

“The brand new Ultrasoft Pirelli tires (tyres) are being used for Sunday’s race and the indicator is a beautiful, magenta U in a circle,” she says.

Of course it looks just like the OU logo for kosher foods in the US, “So are these tyres kosher?” she wondered mischievously.

Then she thought Ultrasoft Pirelli… Hmmm, could that OU-P “mean that we about to have pesachdik tyres this year!?”

She signed off: “Is every Jewish person going to need to get a set ready for their cars for Pesach? 😉 Shavua tov!”
