Don’t worry, this too will pass

During these difficult times, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and not see the light at the end of the tunnel. Yet we’ve all experienced challenges in the past where the situation might have appeared hopeless. Nevertheless, many of those challenges did indeed pass.

Our country and the world have endured and overcome bigger problems.

These include the Holocaust, apartheid, both world wars, the Spanish flu pandemic, the Great Depression, as well as many wars and famines. And, of course, bubonic plague, which wiped out a third of Europe.

Summer follows winter, and day follows night.

“Why worry, there’s always sunshine after rain. There’s always laughter after pain.” (Sang by Dire Straits).

Regarding these and more immediate traumas in our lives, it can be helpful to send love and healing to ourselves.

Remember also that the COVID-19 vaccinations are scientifically proven to prevent infections. They should end the pandemic, and lead to economic recovery.
