Sandton Shul’s new youth Sefer Torah “came down from the Heavens” – it arrived by helicopter and landed in the car park of the shul, where it was welcomed by the congregants.

The Sefer Torah was donated by Howard and Natalie Shankman and David and Shirley Nathan.

On it’s aeronautic arrival, the Torah was danced into the Youth Centre for Rabbi Chaim Klein to fill in the last letters.

The festive atmosphere ended in the main shul where the new Torah was welcomed by the other Sifrei Torah.

This Torah will be housed in the Youth Centre.
