Chief Rabbi Warren Goldstein spoke to the 200 guests about the significance of the day which commemorates the birth, and yarzheit, of our great leader, Moses. Many who work in this area fast on Zayin Adar to achieve atonement for any disrespect they might inadvertently have shown toward the departed. The fast concludes at sunset with prayer and dinner.

Funeral Director David Weber took the guests on a Powerpoint tour of West Park’s Tahara room and through the steps involved in preparing a person for burial.

President Steven Adler spoke with great sincerity and at the evening’s conclusion CEO Michael Sieff presented an award to David Serebro, acknowledging, with grateful thanks, his 40 years of devoted and selfless service to the community.
