All About Hamlet an enjoyable kaleidoscope

A celebration-collaboration production of scenes about Shakespeare’s Hamlet was recently held at King David High School Linksfield. Fast paced, compact versions of the play, famous soliloquies, dialogues and to wet the tongue with a bit of humour, many enjoyable and fun skits were included.

It was not only great fun to be a cast member and to perform, but it was also fun to watch the play and see how the long hours put into the performance were reflected in the result.

The purpose of the play was to give the audience a taste of Hamlet and to celebrate it becoming the next matric setwork. While this was successfully achieved, the play also managed to focus on and showcase everyone’s individual talents, including that of Shakespeare himself.

Overall, All About Hamlet was a very insightful, entertaining and educational production, one that should not have been missed. Well done to everyone who took part, the cast, backstage, the sound and lighting team, Dr Rohan Quince and Sarah Sutherland.
