If you have nothing to hide, why object to metal detectors?

It just boggles the mind. In the not too distant past, when one man attempted to board a plane, while carrying a potential explosive in the heel of his shoe, it resulted in massive inconvenience for millions of travellers having to submit to searches, X-rays, removal of shoes and belts and confiscation of any liquids greater than 100ml (?)

And yet, riots, deaths or injuries result in Jerusalem when Israelis set up metal detectors subsequent to three young Muslim terrorists… having murdered two soldiers on the Temple Mount, which is holy to Jews, Christians and Muslims, resulting in an outbreak of violence of massive proportions.

If you have nothing to hide in not carrying weapons or bombs onto the environs of the Holy Temple Mount, then why object to metal detectors? As a matter of interest: Do the same Muslims riot when they have to submit to metal detectors at airports?

And of course, the Israelis  are made out to be the aggressors for shooting the killers and for wanting to make the Temple Mount a secure place for all worshippers.

Par for the course – the Israelis are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
