Interfaith music, meditation, and prayer

More than 50 people from across the religious spectrum came together to celebrate the mediating power of music and prayer at the Together for Peace interfaith gathering on 6 February.

Prayer at the ceremony, held at the Turquoise Harmony Institute in Birdhaven, Johannesburg, was led by a Jewish rabbi, Muslim imam, Hindu amma, and Christian priest, followed by a unique sound journey with indigenous instruments played by local musician Pops Mohammed and Jason Katz, the master of the Himalayan singing bowl.
