It’s 11 of the best for unassuming Ariel Mazabow

Former Yeshiva Maharsha 2016 matriculant Ariel Mazabow, was the top achiever in Gauteng and, with 11 distinctions, one of the top achievers in the whole country.

His subjects and percentages were: Maths 99 per cent; Accounting 98 per cent; Afrikaans 96 per cent; Advanced Programme Maths 95 per cent; Physical Sciences 94 per cent; English 92 per cent; Hebrew 92 per cent; Life Orientation 92 per cent; Life Sciences 92 per cent; Geography 89 per cent; and History 89 per cent. 

His overall aggregate percentage was 93,45.

His parents are Dr Menachem Mazabow, a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist and Arlene Mazabow, a high school maths teacher.

Ariel attended Yeshiva Maharsha in Johannesburg from nursery school, as have all five of his siblings. His interests are guitar, listening to music, gym and movies, and he believes anything is achievable through hard work and determination and a realistic awareness of one’s potential.
