The moving tribute was organised by the head of the Hebrew department, Morah Ben-Moshe, with the help of a group of matric students.

This was followed by the entire high school attending the Community Yom Hashoah Ceremony at West Park Cemetery, organised by the SA Jewish Board of Deputies. Head girl Rebecca Matisonn read the poem Everyone has a name together with the head girl from King David Linksfield and members of the Student Representative Council, who then read the names of victims of the Holocaust.

“I believe that it is so important for us to be able to take all of our students to this annual event and participate in the programme,” said Andrew Baker, headmaster of King David Victory Park High School.
