King David Victory Park find out about the Goldene Medina

The King David Victory Park grade 11s went to the Holocaust and Genocide Centre to view The Goldene Medina exhibition, celebrating 175 years of Jewish life in South Africa, last week.

The children and staff were split into groups of five, with each group discussing and learning about a different aspect of Jewish life after the immigration to South Africa by their forebears.

They all agreed that although so much has changed, regarding the average life of a South African Jew over the years, the spirit of the Jewish nation and Jewish culture has always and will always remain, unique.
