Meeting of interfaith minds
Jewish communal leaders including Chief Rabbi Dr Warren Goldstein and South African Jewish Board of Deputies (SAJBD) National Director Wendy Kahn, as well as Reeva Forman, Sheri Hanson, and Danny Mofsowitz from the SAJBD, attended a meeting of faith-based leaders at the Union Buildings on 6 February.

The meeting, convened by President Cyril Ramaphosa to engage with religious leaders ahead of the State of the Nation Address on 13 February, was also attended by five cabinet ministers, namely Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu, Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi, Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga, Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa, and the minister of women, youth and persons with disabilities, Maite Nkoana-Mashabane. They responded to issues raised by the almost 50 faith leaders at a round-table discussion.
