Yoel Krassner, a pupil at Yeshiva College, was placed second in Gauteng and seventh countrywide at the Wits Mathematics Competition last year.

But, although Krasner’s talent, enquiring mind and love for maths are remarkable, he’s not alone. Multiple Yeshiva College pupils made it into the final rounds of the competition and many were chosen to represent Gauteng in later rounds, some of them for the second year in a row. As a school, Yeshiva was placed in the top 10 in every division in Gauteng and in two divisions nationally. These talented pupils have made the school proud and it challenges more budding mathematicians to participate in this year’s events.
