Celebrating Purim 20-something style

If you were wondering what kind of Purim celebration the 20-somethings were having, you just had to peak in at The Arch@Tin Factory in Kramerville in Randburg on Saturday night. Over 1 000 young Jewish adults gathered to celebrate in true Purim style last Saturday night.

The incredible vibe was due mostly to the music, featuring the internationally acclaimed Solomon Brothers from Israel.

The event was hosted by K Space & The Arch. K Space- CYP, run by Rabbi Levi and Leah Lipskar, is an organisation that caters for young adults and students (through it’s Chabad on Campus arm). Its programming includes hosting joyous events, learning classes networking opportunities and motivational talks.

The K Space house is open at all times for students looking for a place to study, as well as young entrepreneurs looking for a place to work. It offers free Wi-Fi, printing facilities, coffee, snacks, a swimming pool, big screen DStv and a fully stocked games room for some much needed chill time.

The Arch, the brainchild of Rabbi Shmuel Moffson, is a learning centre based in an attractive office setting in Melrose Arch, with the bigger events taking place outside of the physical centre.

One of the primary objectives of the organisation is to create a “community” of young Jewish professionals.
