In order to ensure that the school remains open beyond 2018, the school, supported by United Herzlia Schools, Herzlia Foundation Trust and Dafna Community Forum, have launched a global fundraising initiative. The crowdfunding platform is Youcaring.com and can be found on the link: http://www.youcaring.com/herzliadafna.

The money raised from this campaign will be used to pay running costs. In addition,  a portion of the proceeds will go towards the school’s marketing budget in 2017/18 to ensure future enrolments and promote ongoing sustainability.

The goal is to raise R500 000 by the end of the school’s financial year in December 2017. This will allow the school to secure its immediate future.

Herzlia Dafna has been servicing the Milnerton community for over 50 years. It is an intimate, warm, embracing and inclusive school, where every child counts. It offers a relaxed and homely atmosphere where both children and parents can explore, discover and learn together.

The school caters for children in playgroup (18 months) to grade R (six years old) with an enriching, educational and loving Jewish environment. The younger children receive an informal programme within a structured environment, while the older groups are offered a more formal, rich, creative, stimulating and exciting experience.

Morning care, aftercare and holiday schools run throughout the year, providing relief for working parents. A vital part of the Herzlia Dafna philosophy is to reach out and support socio-economically under-resourced communities within the society.

The school’s crowdfunding campaign is supported by The Herzlia Foundation Trust whose vision it is to ensure that no Jewish child is denied a Jewish education for genuine financial reasons. This is achieved through the creation of a sustainable endowment.
