Volume on ‘Our South African Jewish Inheritance’ now available

I’m pleased to advise that “Our South African Jewish Inheritance”, the matching volume to “Our Litvak Inheritance”, is now available. These two books of the history, life and times of South African Jews originating in Eastern Europe took about five years (with many interruptions) to compile. I expect the books to arrive in South Africa in early September. The sale proceeds all go to Jewish charities (mainly Arcadia Children’s Home).

I now invite all South Africans to share their family histories and photographs for “From Eastern Europe to South Africa” – a planned collection of family histories and Jewish communities of Johannesburg and the Witwatersrand falling outside the net of the great work being done by Beyachad in their “Jewish Life in the South African Country Communities”.
