WIZO outreach gives children wheels

Published

on

It is a special mitzvah for a Barmitzvah boy and his family to donate money to give wheelchairs to pupils at the Hope School in Johannesburg.

Helping them do this is the Women’s International Zionist Organisation (WIZO) outreach in South Africa.

It’s part of the Wheelchairs of Hope international project that aims to give children with mobility impairments the freedom, independence, and dignity they deserve. Developed by Israeli specialists, the lightweight and colourful wheelchairs are designed specifically for children, enabling them to attend school, interact with friends, and participate more fully in family and community life.

WIZO Johannesburg and WIZO Durban have been helping to give these life-changing wheelchairs to vulnerable children across South Africa.

Together, we can continue to make a difference, one wheelchair and one child at a time.
