Not the first time
This is not, however, the first time that the House has approved guns in Parliament. Some years ago the ANC established a precedent when they allowed – with a guard of honour and much pomp and ceremony nogal – a notorious terrorist in the person of Yasser Arafat, a Palestinian leader, into Parliament carrying a gun.
Now they have compounded this by extending a hearty welcome to Leila Khaled, a terrorist plane hijacker, proudly invited by the BDS movement and Zuma, to attend the State of the Nation address.
The poster of Khaled issued by BDS-SA, to publicise her South African tour, showed a young Khaled sporting an AK-47.
So, why the consternation at a display of guns this time round? (The precedent has been set.)
