Benji runs with Sophia in his heart

South African Benji Altshuler was one of the runners taking part in this year’s Jerusalem Marathon; he ran on behalf of the DL Link, most specifically for young Sophia Bennett, a six-year-old girl who needs a refuah.

Benji said he was privileged to run through the hills and valleys of the ancient city with Sophie in his heart and prayers.

He admitted that it had been “a tough run”, but the effort had been well worth it

Sophia’s mother expressed her gratitude to Benji, saying that this was one of the most touching acts that she had experienced.

It is due to people like Benji that makes the DL Link such a positive bridge between serious illness and hope.
