SA Friends of Israel and the SA Zionist Federation will be hosting Jan Willem van der Hoeven, director of the International Christian Zionist Centre (ICZC) in Jerusalem. He will be speaking next Thursday evening at Beyachad in Johannesburg.

Van der Hoeven is a passionate Christian and unashamed Zionist. He is coming to South Africa with a very challenging message to both Jews and Christians about the future and our different callings in these troubled times. Our unity, he says, is key.

But he asks the questions: Will the Christians have the courage of the Biblical Ruth to stand with Israel, no matter the cost and will the Jews have what it takes, to hold onto their inheritance – Jerusalem?

He has, over the years, had the trust of, and personal friendships with most of Israel’s prime ministers and he has made useful input into governmental decisions. (see video on www.sajr.co.za of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaking about Van der Hoeven’s contribution). 

Van der Hoeven has been living in Jerusalem for over 40 years and has worked tirelessly toward this cause.
