* Bet David’s Kabbalat Shabbat Service takes place at Bet David, Morningside. Time: 18:00 – 19:00. Enquiries: Sharon (011) 783 7117

 

Saturday (March 19)

 

* Bet David’s Torah study and light breakfast takes place at Bet David at 08:45 – 09:45. No charge. The Shabbat morning service takes place at 10:00, followed by a brocha.

 

Sunday (March 20)

 

* JH&GC in partnership with the faculty of arts, Leeds University and the Ditsong National Museum of Military History, host a screening of the documentary “Hidden Holocaust in the Dunes” at Ditsong Military History Museum, Saxonwold at 17:30. * Second Innings hosts Roz Basserabie on “Make the Most of Every Day – Turn an Ordinary Day into an Extraordinary Day”. Venue: The Gerald Horwitz Lounge, Golden Acres. Time: 10:00 for 10:30. * Cape Town Holocaust Centre hosts Professor Rolf Wolfswinkel (New York University) on “The Case of the Holocaust in One Country: The Predicament of the Jews of Holland”. * Umhlanga Jewish Centre is having a “Megillas and Margaritas”, celebrating Purim like Mexicans in Umhlanga. Time: 16:00 till late. At 16:30 reading of the Megilla.
