Blood Brothers : Blood Wars Hamza Howidy Palestinian Peace activist from Gaza. Is peace possible?

Social media star Hamza Howidy is no friend of Israel, but less so of Hamas. In 2019, Hamza co-organised the “We Want to Live” protests where hundreds of Gazans demonstrated against economic hardship and authoritarianism under Hamas. For his participation, he was arrested by Hamas, imprisoned and tortured.

Just a month before the 7 October 2023 Hamas invasion of Israel, Hamza fled Gaza due to escalating threats from Hamas. His family later lost their home in an Israeli airstrike and fled to Egypt.

Hamza Abu Howidy is a Palestinian activist from Gaza. He challenges extremism and promotes dialogue between Muslims and Jews. A former political prisoner under Hamas, Hamza’s personal journey took him from radicalisation to peace advocacy, exposing the human cost of ideological warfare.
