Chief rabbi commits to upholding Jewish life in Joburg’s north-west

Chief Rabbi Dr Warren Goldstein delivered a clear message to Victory Park Shul on Sunday, 24 August, saying that Jewish life in the north-west of Johannesburg would not only continue, it would thrive.

Quoting Pirkei Avot 4:14, “Every assembly that is for the sake of Heaven will endure,” Goldstein said the shul’s mission was sacred and its future was worth building.

He expressed his commitment to actively support and guide the renewal of Victory Park Shul; champion Jewish life across the north-west of Johannesburg; work hand-in-hand with Rabbi Uzvolk, Rabbi Richard, and the shul’s leadership team; and engage with the South African Board of Jewish Education and other key partners to ensure long-term success.
