Malka Ella’s Comrades celebrate raising more than a million

Forty-five runners who participated in the Comrades Marathon to raise fund for Malka Ella, an organisation that helps couples bring new Jewish lives into the world, celebrated raising R1.25 million for the organisation at Burger & Brew on Thursday, 26 June.

“We got together one more time to celebrate what we achieved, not just on the R103 between Pietermaritzburg and Durban, but in the lives we’ve touched,” said Dan Stillerman. “That number still blows me away.”

“To every single runner who laced up their shoes, trained for months, and ran Comrades with purpose – thank you. You did it for the next generation. You inspired your networks. You raised money. You raised hope,” he said.

“And we’re not done yet. Cape Town Marathon is next. If Comrades showed us what’s possible, Cape Town is where we push it further.”
