It is recognised by the Gauteng Education Department and has permission to operate in school hours. Approximately 75 volunteers are committed to teaching the children in the LINK programme every week.

Last week Orange Grove had a happy end-of-year party during which every grade 2 learner received a new reading book, a party pack of treats and a fun pack of cards! Dancing and singing could be heard from the school hall as the learners sang songs of thanks to their LINK teachers and the young ones shouted enthusiastically with thumbs up: “I can do it!”

The LINK volunteers were most surprised and delighted to receive cards of thanks and gorgeous little cacti gifts.
