JAG’s summer exhibition puts spotlight on artists of colour

Johannesburg Executive Mayor Herman Mashaba officially opened the exhibition and called it the beginning of a new era for the city.

Sheree Lissoos, historical curator at JAG, says the intention is to continue showcasing artists of colour.

The gallery has an impressive collection of works by famous artist Gerard Sekoto and the guests greatly admired these pieces.
