Well, this is the reality for children who began the 2016 school year at the newly-built King David Pre-Primary Linksfield.
The rebuild began in 2015 while the school operated from a temporary location on the King David campus.
Teachers and staff on January 12 welcomed excited little learners back to school; parents and children alike are thrilled with the 14 modern classrooms, all equipped with projectors, a magnificent media centre and library, an impressive music room, admin offices, meeting rooms and a fully functional kitchen.
The resource rooms and therapy rooms will be used for physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and guidance by the psychologist/social worker.
There is also a landscaped garden and playground area designed to accommodate the developmental stages of the children from playschool through to grade R.
“Every feature and finish of the school took the children’s needs into account,” said Sheva Messias, principal of KDPPL. “Every child is treated according to his/her own needs and abilities at our school.”
