I fear for South African Jewry

The government is against the Jews, as indicated by the closing of the SA embassy in Israel. Julius Malema is just waiting for the opportunity to take power and influence things by the expropriation of land without compensation. On Facebook you will see his threatening attitude towards whites and Jews.

These expropriations are only going to cause more problems as foreigners and foreign companies will desist from investing in South Africa and economically, things are going to get worse with more unemployment.

I am a student of history, especially Jewish history, and when things get bad economically and otherwise, the first people to get affected are the Jews.

Before the Holocaust people saw the writing on the wall, but their rabbis advised them by saying: “Stay put and everything will be okay.”

And we all know what happened.

In Venezuela three years ago, the dictator died and the Jews were advised that chaos would ensue. Some of them refused to follow this advice as they felt that everything would return to normal. Fortunately, the majority left for Florida and Israel. Those who stayed behind cannot even afford to buy toilet paper – and that’s when it is available on shelf.

I am a Zionist. My family and I have been living in Israel for 41 years and would love more South African Jews to come to Israel. But if you feel otherwise, go to another country of your choice. Make financial arrangements so you and your families don’t have to leave South Africa, when the time comes, as refugees.

The writing is on the wall.
