‘England cricketer Moeen Ali banned from wearing Gaza wristband’


England bowler Moeen Ali was photographed on Monday wearing two wristbands stating “Free Palestine” and “Save Gaza”. The International Cricket Council ordered him to remove the bands, threatening to ban him if he makes “political statements” during matches in the future.

Jews and Israel supporters in Canada are feeling effects of anti-Israel rallies held across the country. Judy Shapiro of the Calgary Jewish Federation said violence erupted in Calgary when a group of pro-Israel demonstrators stood at the edge of the Palestinian crowd waving Israeli flags.

‘Jewish-owned cars, covered with swastikas, tyres slashed in suburb near New York City’

Two cars owned by a Jewish couple in the small town of Pearl River, New York, a 20-minute drive from midtown Manhattan, were covered in swastikas and vulgarities, and their tyres were slashed on Sunday morning. The couple posted the photos to Facebook.

The conflict between Israel and Hamas has prompted a rise in anti-Semitism in Europe. Worrying events included the arrest of 14 in Essen on suspicion of planning a synagogue attack and allegations that the imam of a Berlin mosque called on Muslims to murder “Zionist Jews”.

‘Netanyahu ‘nixed’ idea of assassinating Hamas leaders’

Finance Minister Yair Lapid, with the support of Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Economics Minister Naftali Bennett, has suggested that Israel eliminate the heads of Hamas, according to Yisrael Hayom. The Prime Minister opposed it.

In the Amsterdam suburb of Buitenveldert, 30 volunteers write and collect pro-Israel material for posting on social networks. The initiative aims to combat anti-Israel rhetoric online. Community leaders say the effort is unparalleled in Europe and a testament to the vibrancy of Dutch Jewry.

‘Three Jewish men arrested over assault of two Palestinians in East Jerusalem’

Three Jewish men, aged 17 – 22, were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the assault of two 20-year-old Arab residents of Jerusalem. Amir Shwiki and Samer Mahfouz were beaten unconscious by a Jewish mob wielding iron bars and baseball bats.
