Last week, 23 girls from Hirsch Lyons Girls’ High School in Johannesburg took part in an intensive training programme focused on training people of all ages to become “Care Clowns”, equipping them with the necessary tools and support required to go into children’s hospitals to spend time with the children and cheer them up.

The programme is co-ordinated by Nicola Jackman, of the UPliftment programme, dedicated to spreading joy.
