Rabbi Eliezer Berland is back in South Africa and he - and several hundred of his followers - are said to have been living in Midrand between Johannesburg and Pretoria for the past month. While various reports suggest the leader of the Shuvu Bonim Breslov Chassidic sect - wanted in Israel - and his followers have settled in this country, having arrived before Rosh Hashanah, it has been established that they were here by no later than erev Yom Kippur. At least four local rabbis have confirmed this to Jewish Report.
