The nominations have been submitted, nominees have told their stories, and judging has taken place. Now, the community gets to have a say as voting opens for the 2026 Investec Jewish Achiever Awards.

This year’s awards, to be presented on 1 November, will celebrate the people whose work, leadership, and achievements have made an impact not only within the Jewish community, but across South Africa. From established business leaders and professionals to community stalwarts and rising stars, the nominees reflect the breadth of achievement within the community.

Among the awards are the Investec Business Leadership Award, recognising outstanding leadership and impact in business, and the Investec Professional Excellence Award, honouring those who’ve achieved national recognition in their professions.

The Eric Ellerine Entrepreneur Award celebrates the innovation, determination, and resilience required to build and grow successful ventures, while the Europcar Women in Leadership Award recognises women making their mark in business, public life, philanthropy, the arts, academia, and the broader South African society.

The Ichikowitz Family Foundation Rising Star Award recognises those aged 35 and younger who are already showing exceptional promise, leadership, and achievement.

There’s the Bertie Lubner Humanitarian Award in Honour of Chief Rabbi Cyril Harris and the Mann Made Community Service Award.

Achievement beyond business is recognised through the Art, Sport, Science, and Culture Award, while the Lifetime Achievement Award in Honour of Helen Suzman celebrates a sustained and extraordinary contribution made over many years.

With such different fields and achievements represented, voting isn’t about choosing the most recognisable name. It’s an opportunity to look at the nominees, discover what they’ve accomplished, and decide whose contribution deserves the nod.
