JNF young adults party for Israel’s 77th
More than 350 young Jewish professionals danced the night away at a JNF (Jewish National Fund) house party in Glenhazel to celebrate Israel’s 77th birthday on Wednesday, 30 April.
Hosted by the Diamond family and organised by a dynamic planning committee – Kayla Diamond, Chad Rayd, Zach Tobias, and Kiki Shalpid – the event brought together young Jews from all walks of life for the Yom Ha’atzmaut party.
With an electric DJ line-up, great food, flowing drinks, and nonstop dancing, the evening was a celebration of unity, Jewish pride, and the vibrant spirit of our community.
One party goer, who had recently returned to South Africa after studying in Israel, hugged the organisers and thanked them for providing the opportunity for young adults to connect and celebrate Israel at this difficult time. He described it as the best party he had been to since his return.
The night ended on a powerful and emotional note with a moving Hatikvah, led by Shmuli Brill.
