‘Finally they are coming home’

Finally, finally, finally, they are coming home!” Lisa Hack, the chairperson of the South African Union for Progressive Judaism, said in response to news of the first phase of the ceasefire.

“We welcome the news of the ceasefire, and breathe a global sigh of relief as we await the return of the hostages. We pray that they and their loved ones find strength and resilience in the days ahead, and that those involved in negotiations continue to strive for peace and uphold accountability.”
