King David alumni pay it forward

Published

on

Fifty professionals made time in their busy schedules to talk to Grade 11s at the King David KonnecteD: Careers Conversations.

What made the morning especially powerful was that the volunteer speakers were all King David alumni, who gave of their time, experience, and insight to support the next generation. From medicine and law to business, technology, media, fashion, and beyond, the Davidians shared career advice and honest reflections on their journeys after school.

It was part of the school’s commitment to creating meaningful, real-world learning experiences beyond the classroom.

In thirty-minute sessions, alumni and pupils discussed future pathways, university studies, and workplace realities.

The event was a strong reminder that one of the privileges of a King David education is that it extends far beyond matric, providing access to a powerful global network of people who are willing to invest in one another.

Thank you to all our alumni who participated: Aiden Sack, Ariella Eisenberg, Benjamin Atie, Callan Kotzen, Dan Stillerman, Darren Cohen, David Vinokur, Dov Girnun, Eitan Malkin, Sivan Lapidus, Tannah Levick, Yakira Gischen, Adam Danilowitz, Ariella Levin, Brett Morris, Chadd Silver, Daniel Witz, Gabriel Genn CA(SA), Gina Chernick, Grant Magid, Jaydon Hanan, Jonathan Judin, Isa Orlianski, Dinah Druion, Kayla Wolpe, Megan Shandler, Nicole Meyerson, Rael Lowenthal, Romy Saunders, Shai Friedland, Shalya Katzeff, Sheri Davimes-Hanson, and Tali Ferrer (Isenberg).

The alumni obviously didn’t do this for recognition. But if you’re going to go through the effort to publicly recognize each one who gave up their morning to be there by name, make sure you don’t leave anyone off the list. It’s bloody hurtful.
